Overview AKIRA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Photographer to join our dynamic creative team. In this hands-on role, you will work directly with the Lead Photographer to support and execute photo shoots, manage studio operations, and deliver high-quality visual assets. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, fashion-forward environment and bring an enthusiastic, can-do attitude to every project. Location Onsite, Chicago, IL Responsibilities Assist the Lead Photographer during photo shoots with lighting setup, composition, and shot execution Photograph product flats for eCommerce and merchandising purposes Handle equipment logistics - including pickup, setup, storage, and maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient studio environment Support styling, sample management, and product preparation Collaborate with creative and merchandising teams to ensure all visual content aligns with brand standards Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field 1-2 years of on-set photography experience (fashion or eCommerce preferred) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge) Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Must be available full-time and on-site at company headquarters Diversity & Inclusion At AKIRA we believe that treating everyone in a first-class manner is essential to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects our values and our community. Compensation Job Type: Full-time Starting pay for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour and may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
