Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Cost Accountant for our foundry client to start immediately at $70K-$80K/annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire! Responsibilities: Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support ongoing projects at their manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key financial partner, providing valuable insights through the analysis and interpretation of complex financial data. The AP Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal audit controls, and upholding sound cost accounting practices and principles. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and a keen eye for detail in financial processes. Prepare journal entries for the month end close process. Support accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable. Assist in maintaining the general ledger. Reconcile bank accounts daily. Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Track Capital Expenditures and Fixed Assets. Conduct cost and pricing analysis and preparing management reports. Assure and maintain accuracy of the cost accounting process, including cost analysis, cost accumulation, and cost allocation. Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks and SAP, to maintain accurate and up-to-date cost accounting records. Maintain and reconcile GL accounts related to inventory, production and cost of goods sold. Identify needs for developing and implementing cost accounting policies and procedures. Assist inventory cycle count process and reconcile any discrepancies. Perform special projects and additional duties as required. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes. Location: Chicago Heights, IL Schedule/Shift Details: Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30 Overtime as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Accounting or a related field (CPA certification is a plus) and 2 yrs. relevant experience, preferred. Working experience and knowledge with cost accounting principles and practices. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Proficiency in using ERP systems, accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Excel. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines. Good communication skills. Team player. Well organized and detail oriented Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relate to cost accounting. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor.
