Job Title: Frame Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Frame Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in frame straightening, alignments, suspension and brake repair, as well as working on truck accessories such as tippers, flatbeds, hook lifts, and plows. This role requires working independently and collaboratively in the paint department, handling tasks such as welding, body repair, panel replacements, and prepping for paint.

Responsibilities

• Perform frame straightening and alignments.
• Repair and install suspensions, brakes, and frames.
• Straighten trailers and fabricate truck accessories.
• Work on heavy trucks in the paint department, including welding, bodywork, and panel replacements.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including masking, sanding, and patching.
• Perform electrical wiring and welding tasks.
• Engage in mechanic work involving hand and power tools for product fabrication.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprints.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of mechanic or installation experience on industrial trucks.
• Proficient in welding with over 1 year of experience.
• Experience in electrical hookups and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience.
• Must possess own small hand tools and tool box for use in the shop.

Work Environment

Work in a large job shop with multiple buildings and garages, each mechanic having their own bay. The environment can be loud and warm in the summer, with overhead doors for airflow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
