PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Responsible for fully installing, configuring, supporting maintaining and upgrading Woodlawn Hospital's network and servers, both physical and virtual.
• Ensure network security by maintaining a multi-layered security configuration, timely patch management and event logging. Recommend policies and best practices for implementation.
• Monitor server and network performance.
• Maintain and record inventory of all computer hardware, software, and peripherals within the organization.
• Responsible for the initial configuration of all laptops/desktops/tablets and all associated peripherals, utilizing product standardization.
• Identify recurring and potential operation problems. Recommend controls for prevention.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with medical staff, peers, employees, and administration to accomplish responsibilities.
• Adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat, safe working environment.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

• Performs any and all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology/Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of best practices regarding management, control, and monitoring of network and server infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching.
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN remote implementation, troubleshooting and problem resolution is desired.
• Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner.
• Possess and demonstrate good leadership, organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret governmental regulations and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a multi-task environment where interruptions may be frequent.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
• Ability to adapt to variations in scheduling (including but not limited to on-call, overtime, work schedule changes or low census).
• Good visual and aural acuity.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to carry out all responsibilities in a professional manner.
