Job Title: Inspector

Job Description

The role involves performing visual inspections either in-line or at the end of the line for every unit being produced. Each unit has a checklist of over 50 items to review. The inspector will document findings using a laptop on the production floor and trace defects back up the line to determine the source of issues, whether they are related to parts, assembler mistakes, preventable errors, etc.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections on each unit produced following a detailed checklist.
• Enter inspection information into a laptop on the production floor.
• Trace defects back up the production line to identify their causes.
• Collaborate with production staff to address and resolve quality issues.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in visual inspection and quality control.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Familiarity with using calipers and micrometers.
• Capability to read and write clearly and understand part numbers and locations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in assembly is preferred.
• Willingness to learn paperwork and audit processes.
• No specific prior quality control experience required, but high attention to detail is essential.

Work Environment

The inspector will work directly on the production floor, requiring little to no lifting but will be standing and moving throughout the entire shift. The role follows the assembly line schedule, with additional time for audits, reporting, and assisting with incoming part inspections. Standard hours are Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional work on Fridays as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
