Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 4 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Annual Skills Checklist is required for submission and can’t expire during the expected contract dates.

Required Skills/Experience:

• RNs required to titrate drips: Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics.
• RNs need to be able to read and interpret.

Required Credentials: RN’s - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults and Peds >15 years old, Neuro surgery (initiating neuro interventionalist with thrombectomy program) - not required exp., Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock (Impella, balloon pump - not required exp.), renal failure (CRRT) - not required exp., general surgery, psych/OD, GI bleeds, cancer specific surgeries - esophagectomy, internal chemo administration, CVPs, Alines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring- all can train real time, Zoll -Thermoguard for hypothermia protocol, Bell Mont rapid transfuser

• Beds: 34
• Nurse Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU

Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirements: Every other
• Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed for based on unit needs

Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission
